Over coming blocks to weight loss in Fibromyalgia Magazine

April 21, 2015 By Sally Baker

fibromyalgia front cover The April 2015 edition of Fibromyalgia Magazine features an article written by Sally Baker and Liz Hogon, the authors of 7 Simple Steps to Stop Emotional Eating. Using two of the key therapies from their book, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Percussive Suggestion Technique (PSTEC) they show how these two powerful tools can be used as self-help therapies for managing negative thinking around maintaining a healthy weight when some medication, and reduced mobility can feel like obstacles to weight loss.

The authors also use key approaches from their book published in April 2015 by Hammersmith Press to explore the theme of negative self-talk and how that can undermine well-being. They describes how to use EFT to discover your own blocks to successful weight loss, and they go on to explain how to use PSTEC to remove negative emotions around memories of previous failed dieting attempts so that you are no longer triggered, or undermined by events of the past.
